Starship Children’s Health is a dedicated paediatric healthcare service and major teaching centre, providing family-centred care to children and young people throughout Aotearoa New Zealand and the South Pacific. The Fife Foundation assisted in the transformation of Starship’s Oncology Ward, which enables children and teenagers to receive cancer treatment in an environment that best supports their physical, social and emotional needs. The foundation has assisted in delivering a number of successful fundraising events, shining a spotlight on such services as Starship’s National Air Ambulance, which brings critically sick and injured children from throughout the country to Starship, so that they can receive the specialist care they need without delay.
