Since 1986, Make-A-Wish has been creating life-changing wishes for children living with critical and chronic illnesses. From meeting heroes and exploring dream destinations, to transforming bedrooms into magical spaces of comfort and hope, every wish is carefully designed to give a child and their whānau something that illness cannot take away, joy, strength, and a moment to simply be a kid.

Each wish is unique, inspired entirely by the child’s imagination. Make-A-Wish works closely with families, medical teams, volunteers, and partners to bring these wishes to life, reminding children that their dreams matter and that they are surrounded by support, compassion and community.

This year, the Fife Foundation is proud to help Make-A-Wish raise funds through a special Christmas initiative, Trees of Joy. By purchasing one of our Christmas trees, supporters are directly helping to grant more wishes for brave young New Zealanders, transforming the festive season into something truly meaningful.

The Canterbury event kicks-off on the 12th of December 2025!
